Montgomery Park Senior Housing - Phase II
Phase II of the redevelopment of the former Montgomery Hospital into Montgomery Park is now underway. The second phase is a 4 story, 42-unit new construction building for low-income seniors. Designed by Kramer Marks Architects, the building is designed to meet Passive House Standards and is managed by Altman Management Company.
Located between Powell and Locust Street, Montgomery Park includes community rooms and kitchens, social services, on-site parking, laundry, and lounge areas. The community is located near several retail centers, emergency services, post office, and public transportation. The apartments are also located across the street from Einstein’s Nicholas and Athena Karabots Medical Building to benefit the senior residents.
The project, being completed by Harkins Builders, Inc., was funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), PHFA Penn HOMES, Montgomery County, and Reinvested Developer Fee.
